Cosmetology

Opportunity for Juniors!

Your junior year is the perfect time to enroll in our dual credit Cosmetology program with the approval of your parent and your high school counselor!  It is designed for you to enroll in one course per semester for your last two years in high school and after you graduate from high school you will only need one full-time semester to finish your Cosmetology Certificate of Proficiency.  Our courses are held in the Cosmetology Building in Gentry Square on the Levelland Campus from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  Your dual credit courses in order of attendance will be: CSME 1405 Fundamentals of Cosmetology (fall first year), CSME 1443 Manicuring and Related Theory (spring first year), CSME 1447 Principles of Skin Care and Facials (fall second year), CSME 1410 Introduction to Haircutting (spring second year). 

Your next step is to visit with Mrs. Hodnett for her permission to enroll and submit your unofficial high school transcript and Meningitis Vaccine Record (no older than five years) to dualcredit@southplainscollege.edu.   

You will need your own transportation to and from SPC.
